Oil Leak 112 Port News

It is extremely disappointing to report in that the CFPA are continuing to press on with their plans for STS. This was highlighted in the latest issue of Port News where they no doubt took great delight in announcing their support for the Cromarty Community Rowing Club – just to make it clear, the fact that a project is being supported in Cromarty, does not mean that the community endorses the CFPA’s plans for STS in any way. Here’s what the port say in their spring issue of “Port News”:

“A refined application has been prepared and is currently under review before being submitted to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). The Board is committed to continue the application process with a view to providing us the opportunity to recover the lost revenues from activity at the Nigg Oil Terminal. This journey will take several months still to complete and ultimately the MCA will decide the outcome.”

Just ot make it clear, this “journey” will lead to months more of fighting. One has to ask, why are the CFPA so deadset on pursuing this proposal? Maybe that could be a topic for their next issue of Port News, or if you’ve got any other ideas, we note:
