Cromarty Rising

Here’s an email we got from Highland Council candidate Dave Allison last week – he’s standing in Ward 8 Dingwall and Seaforth. Sadly he’s not standing for the Black Isle as needless to say he wouldn’t get our vote. Just to be clear Cromarty Rising have NO political affiliation and recommend NO political party over another – normally we would ignore this, however, he posted his comments on his website – given the nature of his comments it is important that our position is clear. This is not about politics – it is a cross-party issue and we will support those who oppose STS, both by their actions and their commitments and as we get information we will make it available. Equally for those candidates supporting STS like Mr Allison, we will make their position clear.  Here is his email in full:

This is/was a Capitalist country and I as an ex seaman/sailor encourage
the Ship To Ship Transfer Scheme STS.
Cromarty Rising a group of rabid Communist Greenies oppose STS
as they oppose Capitalism. They are mostly 2/3 car families living in
Cromarty/Black Isle
who never take the bus or cycle to Inverness or anywhere civilised.
