By way of an update, the petition currently lodged with the Scottish Government was due to go back to the petitions committee. They received representations from the MCA, the Scottish Government, SEPA and SNH. However, they somehow forgot to send the responses back to us to allow us to respond. It will now be the 15th or the 22nd when the issue returns – convenient as this is after the general election. The cynics amongst you might say that this was no accident given that it would appear that the details of Scottish Government officials trying to bury STS coming out at this committee may cause embarrassment to the incumbent politicians ahead of the election.
