Thanks for your email.   You  can take it that I support the stance of Gail Ross and Maree Todd at your event last week which I was also glad to see that Fergus Ewing attended.   As a former Environment minister and as an MSP with perhaps the longest constituency shoreline in Scotland the importance of a clean and non threatened marine environment  is absolutely essential for me and my constituents.  Anything  that threatens it needs to be scrutinised very carefully.   these proposals for ship to ship transfer , scrutinised in that way, does not measure up to the standards required and should be rejected.

These powers to do so should also lie in the Scottish Parliament and not at Westminster.
