Well, the last full Highland Council meeting draws close (9th March). We are planning a small protest between 8 and 9 at the Highland Council HQ in Inverness. Would be great to see you there if you want to pop down before work or whatever you have planned for the day and remind the councillors of our opposition.
One concern is that with the Highland Council elections approach on 4th May there is a 6 week period prior to that (“purdah”)- where the council is effectively disbanded and elected official undertake the council’s business. We want to make sure that it if the Port were to put in their revised STS application during or even at the start of this period, that the council will ask for an extension to allow the full council to debate the issue and not have the response delegated to unelected planning officials.
