Earlier this evening the campaign hit another landmark moment with the 38 Degrees petition hitting 100,000 signatures. A figure that will be difficult for the CFPA to ignore. The Highland Council certainly won’t be ignoring it and indeed the leader of the Highland Council has graciously agreed to come out and accept the petition from 38 degrees later today. Contrast that with last attempted hand in July 2016 – that time 38 degrees came up from London to hand the petition in to the CFPA, however, no-one would come out to accept it. Hardly engaging with stakeholders. More on petitions next week, watch this space!
