Good news! According to the Nairnshire Telegraph today:
“East Nairnshire Community Council is to join other Nairnshire community councils in registering its opposition to Cromarty Firth Port Authority;s plan to carry out ship to ship oil transfers in the Moray Firth. .
When the group considered the proposal at its last meeting in early December it was decided to postpone a decision to the next meeting in view of a poor attendance.
A formal proposal to come in with the other councils was unanimously approved at last week’s meeting. ”
East Nairnshire makes 27 community councils now opposed to the Port Authority plan – the map is now looking very red!
