For those of you that missed the P&J on Friday – (see: https://www.energyvoice.com/other-news/133101/port-chiefs-delay-controversial-ship-ship-transfers/) confirmation that there will be no new application submitted before May, post Highland Council elections. This is a change from previous quote that stated the application would be submitted on time in January. Apparently the delay is due to having to spend time reviewing the new application. Unlikely. We think its more likely that the MCA have told the CFPA not to submit a new application over the purdah period. An issue highlighted in oil leaks and indeed to the MCA by Cromarty Rising. Do we think this is the beginning of the end for this application? Not a hope!
